On 18 September, World Cleanup Day, Rosebank demonstrated the power of community and active citizenry. More than 40 volunteers from TotalEnergies South Africa, Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank and the Rosebank Management District (RMD), supported by Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, came together to give two public spaces the care they deserve.

The day began at the Total Park, on the corner of Bath and Biermann avenues, where trees were planted, benches repainted and the grounds trimmed and landscaped. The team then moved to the island on Bolton Road, where clearing and landscaping got under way ahead of a planned flower planting.

Thank you to TotalEnergies for leading the initiative, to the Hyde Hotel team for their continued support of the precinct, to City Parks and Zoo for the trees and parking clean-up, and to every volunteer who gave their time and effort. Initiatives like this show what is possible when business, the district and municipal partners pull in the same direction.
