In celebration of Women’s Month in Rosebank we thought it a good time to introduce some of the dynamic figures that keep the district not only running, but thriving as a key Joburg neighbourhood. Time to meet some of the behind the scenes figures shaping Rosebank. This week we interviewed Vandini Parbhoo.

Vandini Parbhoo is the Centre Manager of the award-winning The Zone @ Rosebank. She says: “The Zone has always had something for everyone. Being from Polokwane originally, I was headhunted by Cotton On and interestingly enough worked at our offices at The Zone at Rosebank for ±3 years. Even then, I always enjoyed the lifestyle and convenience it offered. Little did I know that I would return to run the same Centre.”

Most enjoyable aspect of your work?

I have always been a strong believer in hard work pays off and for me my “retail therapy” is seeing a new store open and thrive. It’s  great to be a part of an amazing team and organization that supports each other to achieve this.

The greatest challenge over the past few months?

Dealing with the impact of Covid and the recent unrest in the country stressed us as a precinct, but on a positive note we have all come together as a neighbourhood to assist and support each other through these unprecedented times.

What makes Rosebank special?

The diversity it offers. There is something for everyone. Being centrally located, we offer a lifestyle that is so more than just retail and commercial offerings. Rosebank is all about  a unique experience for young and old, so it appeals to a broad audience.
