In celebration of Women’s Month in Rosebank we thought it a good time to introduce some of the dynamic figures that keep the district not only running, but thriving as a key Joburg neighbourhood. Time to meet some of the behind the scenes figures shaping Rosebank. This week we interviewed Judith Briggs.

Judith Briggs was born in England and has spent most of her life in South Africa, living in Rosebank with her husband and children for many years. Being on the Johannesburg City Council from 1988 led to her involvement in town planning matters and thus the Rosebank Action Group where she currently serves on the committee. “My council work brought me to know of the problems of homelessness and involvement with the Rosebank Homeless Association which I currently Chair.”

Most enjoyable aspect of your work?
